B.S.Negi Mahila Pravidhik Prashikshan Sansthan was established on 27th june 1987 by Mrs. Shobhana Wahi wife of Honorable col. S.P.Wahi ex chairman ONGC, for which land and buildings were provided by ONGC in their premises. Subsequently one more building and workshop were built for accommodating more courses in the polytechnic for women.

On 5th February 1990 ONGC Mahila samiti Polytechnic for women was registerd under society registration act 1860.

In 1992 the name of ONGC Mahila Samiti polytechnic for women was changed to ONGC mahila pravidhik prashikshan sansthan and subsequently renamed as B.S.Negi MPPS on 20th December 2003 on the name of first chairman of ONGC.

Objective

  • The objective of the institute is to work for the economic upliftment of women in society Thereafter elevating thier confidence to survive by impartimg vocational training
  • The main thurst is on the girls who have longing to achieve good quality of life(Socialy,economically and psychologically).
  • The institute caters to students hailing from every nook and corner of the Uttarakhand State but at the same time students from other states are also incorporated depending On the domicile.
  • The institute not only focuses on the vocational training but also trains the students with Managerial and entrepreneurial skills which makes them efficient in setting up their own Enterprise.
