Message from Founder Patron

The Sansthan- B.S Negi MPPS owes its existence to its Founder Patron Mrs. Shobhana Wahi, wife of Late Col. S.P. Wahi Ex – Chairman(ONGC). Her life is adorned with Indian cultural values and humanism. She is full of dynamism resulting in her establishing the ONGC Mahila Samiti and also this polytechnic for Women. Her vision, back in 1987, was so vivid and beyond, that in today’s time the value of that effort and vision is bearing fruit by making the women economically independent through Vocational Training.

She dedicated her life for the upliftment of children, women of weaker sections of the society through her social welfare schemes. But that did not detach her from her family responsibilities, rather these experiences motivated her to pen down her feelings and emotions through various articles and poetries .

She is a well known face of the Doon valley. She has adopted two villages for the upliftment of women which is not only admirable but also a source of inspiration for many others. Her personality can be painted in four simple words—inner beauty, soft- heartedness, simplicity and elegance.
