Eminent Visitor

11th Aug,2021, Wednesday was one such day, when the B S Negi MPPS family was happy to welcome the CEO, ONGC Foundation, Mr. Kiran D M, ED - Chief CSR, ONGC, Mr. Sumesh Ranjan, Mr. Monu Bhatnagar GM (CSR) and Mr. A K Chauhan GM(C). It was a visit which sealed the approval of the CSR proposal given to ONGC by the Sansthan. This will ensure the stability and great advancement of the sansthan in the near future. The headway made by the sansthan with the help of this grant will be an impetus to make the sansthan reach new heights- a movement for modernization , which was also one of the observation made by the AICTE . We, at the sansthan, deeply appreciate the support and commitment extended to us by the CEO ,ONGC Foundation and ED Chief CSR ONGC as we embark on new journey of development and modernization which was long overdue. A new look and spirit of the sansthan and its family will be visible in the near future.

The delegation saw the work created by the students of the sansthan in various departments and were very impressed by it as was evident in their appreciation .

It was historic that the CMD , ONGC, Sh. Subhash Kumar along with Dr. Alka Mittal Dir(HR) and the entire Board of Directors ONGC paid an impromptu visit to the sansthan on 14th aug,2021. This visit was historic as it happened after a very long time and with none other than the entire Board of directors. This clearly shows the kind of interest ONGC takes not only in the sansthan’s revival but also in supporting it through and through to scale new heights. This fact was reiterated in the speech of CMD in the Independence Day speech where he categorically mentioned the name of B S Negi MPPS as an institute engaged in women empowerment not only of Uttarakhand but also nearby states, through skill development and enhancement. The CMD assured all support to the sansthan for its further growth , the first step being the bestowal of 30 years lease for the premises of the sansthan within the ONGC Campus at Dehradun.

This visit was also graced by the presence of Chief Patron ONGC Officers Mahila Samiti (OOMS), Mrs Kusum Sharma, Mrs. Babita Singh, Patron , Mrs. Madhu Srivastav, Patron,. We feel delighted to share that all the dignitaries were very happy and impressed as they showed keen interest in the work of the students.

A very memorable visit for the sansthan indeed…..

The nostalgic visit of the Chief Patron ONGC Officers Mahila Samiti (OOMS) , Mrs. Kusum Sharma, to its roots , ie. Womens polytechnic , which was its own baby , was very fortunate and delightful. It brought back memories when Mrs Shobhana Wahi, Founder and Patron sowed the seed of this sansthan for the empowerment of women in 1987. It was a happy event as the entire delegation was very impressed with the work showcased by the students in all design courses. We look forward to such visits in the future to scale up the morale of the students and the staff of the sansthan.

B S Negi MPPS celebrated the 75th Independence Day with gaiety and fervor in the premises of the sansthan. The flag was unfurled by the Chairman , Sh. Harsh Mani Vyas followed by National anthem and a patriotic song. The function was made all the more meaningful with the words of encouragement by the Chairman and later the felicitations given to the employees for their outstanding efforts in their respective areas towards the sansthan. In his speech the Chairman categorically assured of a new look and rejuvenated spirit of the sansthan , but of course with everyone’s contribution towards making the sansthan financially independent. The celebration was attended by H S Joshi, Treasurer , Executive committee B S Negi MPPS , Sh. Vijay Juyal, Joint Treasure, all staff members and students.
